On 1-30-16 at 1840 the Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to a reported 2 vehicle MVC with possible entrapment at the intersection of North 3rd Street and Plum Run Road. When fire crews arrived, the driver of one vehicle was trapped due to the driver’s door being damaged in the collision. Crews removed the door for EMS to remove the driver from the vehicle and were on scene for about 30 minutes.
On 1/28/2016 at 21:42:55 the Bardstown Fire Department responded to a report of an electrical outlet popping at the DOLLAR GENERAL store on Bloomfield RD. The fire department investigated the outlet and found that a freezer unit was plugged in with an extension cord that wasn’t rated for that use and was on scene for about 20 min.
On 1/26/2016 at 01:25:23 the Bardstown Fire Department responded to a report of an Active CO Detector around the 100 Block of N Salem Dr. The fire department found a faulty detector and was on scene about 15 min.
On 01/23/2016 at 1911 hours, the Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to the 100 block of Westview Drive for a report of smoke in the residence. Upon arrival found crews found a moderate amount of smoke in the residence. Crews found that a frayed extension cord had caused some of the carpet to scorch. Crews ventilated the structure and were on scene for about an hour.

On 01/21/2016 at approximately 2038 hrs, the Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to a fire alarm activation in the 219 E Muir Ave at the Bardstown Education Complex. Upon arrival, Squirt 33 was met by the staff and it was determined that the alarm was activated by an accidental pull station activation. Crews searched the building and reset the alarm. Bardstown Fire was on scene for 20 minutes.
On 1/21/2016 at 0108 hours, the Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to the Orbis Factory for an activated fire alarm. Upon arrival crews found the building evacuated and it was advised by maintenance personnel that a pull station had been hit by something and caused the alarm activation. Crews were on scene for about 30 minutes.
On 01/20/2016 at 1721 hours, the Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to the 100 block of Wilble BLVD for a report of a vehicle versus a residence. Upon arrival crews found no injuries and no entrapment. Fire crews inspected the structure for stability and deemed it safe. Crews were on scene for about 20 minutes.
On 01/20/2016 at 1140 hours, the Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a two vehicle MVC with injuries at the intersection of East John Rowan Boulevard and Bloomfield Road. Upon arrival crews found two vehicles involved in an MVC with a total of three patients. Fire Department assisted EMS crews with loading patients and assisted Police department with traffic control. Crews were on scene for about 40 minutes.
On 01/19/2016 at 0751 hours, the Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to a report of an MVC with injuries at the intersection of Cathedral Manor and Pioneer Pass. Upon arrival we found a vehicle versus a school bus. Crews checked for injuries on the school bus and no children were injured. Crews assisted in packaging the patient of the vehicle and assisted with traffic control. Crews were on scene for about 40 minutes.
