The Bardstown Fire Department will be hosting a life safety and fire code seminar for local business owner, supervisors, and employees. This seminar will be conducted by Captain Todd Spalding on May 4th at 8:30 am, 2:00 pm, and at 7:00 pm at our station 1 located at 220 N 5th St. This seminar will inform all who attend on NFPA life safety and fire codes. This will assist those who attend in coming in compliance with these codes ahead of their annual inspections and it will help to reduce fires and increase life safety measures. The Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched to Kroger parking lot at 1509 hours for a report of a vehicle fire. When fire crews arrived the vehicle was fully involved with multiple vehicles around it. Crews extinguished the fire in about nine minutes and were on scene for about an hour.
The Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched at 1613 hours to the 100 block of Fern Lea Circle for a report of a vehicle fire. When fire crews arrived on scene they found a fully involved vehicle fire about ten feet from a structure. Crews had the fire under control in about seven minutes and were on scene for about 40 minutes.
The Bardstown Fire Department was dispatched on 04/02/2016 at 1600 hours to a MVC with entrapment and the vehicle on fire at the intersection of W John Rowan Blvd and Templin Avenue. When crews arrived a bystander had already discharged an extinguisher to extinguisher the fire. Crews extricated the patient from the vehicle and assisted EMS with patient care. Crews were on scene for about an hour.
